As the regular season comes to a close, post season is approaching and intensity is rising while the teams compete for a spot in the playoffs. The post season is very exciting to watch since the best teams are playing for the championship. Starting with the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays are leading the League with the best record winning 7 out of their last 10 games. In second place, the Houston Astro’s despite their loosing streak the past 10 games. Then the Chicago White Sox are in third place, although they have lost 6 out of their last 10 games. The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox are both in the Wild Card and will play against each other for a spot in the playoffs. Throughout the National League, the San Francisco Giants are leading the league with the best record in baseball with 80 wins. In second place, the Milwaukee Brewers that have a winning streak winning 7 out of their last 10 games. lastly, the Atlanta Braves are in third place and have won 9 of their past 10 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds will both play each other in the Wild Card to see who gets a shot for the playoffs. If the San Diego Padres and the Oakland A’s pitchers improve, they will have a shot to stay in the Wild Card hunt.
