Welcome to San Diego Bob Melvin

During the offseason, the San Diego Padres hired a new manager Bob Melvin who has an outstanding winning record since he has managed for the past 18 years. Before managing the Padres, Bob was the manager of the Oakland Athletics, the Arizona Dimond Backs, and the Seattle Mariners. Throughout his career, he won manager of the year three times, which is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations Bob on that incredible achievement. Bob also spent 10 years in the Major League’s as a catcher for the Detroit Tigers, the San Francisco Giants, the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Chicago White Sox. Personally, I was really exited when the Padres announced that Bob was going to the the manager of the Padres since he has had lots of experience with being a manager. In my opinion, the Padres haven’t had a good manager since Bruce Bochy so fans are thrilled to see what Melvin has in store for the team this season, and hopefully we can make it to the playoffs.
