Throughout writing my blog, I have learned a lot about my self and what I want to do in the future. About a month ago, I decided to take my future career to the next level and go back to school to pursue sports journalism. During the fall, I will be attending Palomar College and will be getting my associate degree in journalism so I can continue following my passion for baseball. After making this decision, I’ve never been happier and thrilled to start my journey of becoming a future sports writer for the San Diego Padres. To my friends and family who have been following me since day one, thank you for all your support and you don’t understand how much each and every one of you mean to me.
To my older sister Hayley, who continues to inspire me every day, thank you for always being there for me and cherish all the talks that we have had over the years about following our dreams. I would not be the person who I am today without my parents Steve and Jolene, who continue to support me in everything I do and I’m extremely grateful for the relationship that we have since most people don’t have the best relationship with their parents. To my little brother AJ, who is the light of my life, thank you for always making me laugh with your constant sarcasm and lifting me up when I’m down. I will never forget the memories that my family and I have together and will cherish every moment we have together. As my journey of becoming a sports writer begins, I can’t wait for what the future has in store for me following my dreams of working for the Padres alongside the encouragement from my family and friends. In conclusion, becoming a sports writer has been the best decision I have ever made and will see my fans at a baseball stadium near you very soon!
