Around the National League, things are starting to get heated as teams are competing to see who is the best team in baseball. As of right now, the rivalry between the LA Dodgers and the San Diego Padres has been very exciting to watch while they determine who is going to be the leader of the National League West. Currently, the Dodgers are in first place but the Padres are only a half a game behind them. Hopefully once Fernando Tatis JR comes back, the Padres will be able to secure the lead from the Dodgers.
Throughout the National League East, the New York Mets are surprisingly doing very well this season and currently have the best record in the league with 40 wins. The only team who has a better record than the Mets are the New York Yankees with 42 wins. The Atlanta Braves are also having a fantastic season so far and are five games away from the Mets. Congratulations to the Mets for holding the best record in the league and hope for the best for the rest of the season.
In the National League Central, the rivalry between the Saint Luis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers has been very intense as they determine who is going to be the central division leader. At the Moment, the Cardinals are in first place but the Brewers are only a half a game away from them. Hopefully the Cardinals keep playing their hearts out and would love to see them play in the postseason this year.
Personally, I’m very impressed with how well the Padres have been playing without their superstar Tatis Jr on the field since I thought it was going to be tough for them to play without him. I’m also excited to see how the rest of the season goes for the West division because of how close the Dodgers and the Padres have been so far this year.
Sincerely,
Taylor Leonard aka Beyond the Bases.
