Rule changes for next season

Breaking news, Major League Baseball sent out a statement this morning regarding some new rule changes starting next year. Here is a recap of the 2023 MLB rule changes.

#1 – There will be a ban of players shifting to load up one side of the field.

#2 – Pitchers will only have 15 seconds between pitches.

#3 – Bigger bases on the field.

Once the news broke out, I was relieved that the MLB wants to ban players from shifting to one side of the field. Now players will be able to get more hits, and it will be more entertaining for the fans to watch. With pitchers having only 15 seconds between each pitch, this will speed up the game and make it more enjoyable for the fans. Lastly, the bases around the field will be extended from 15 inches to 18 inches that will prevent players colliding into each other, and increase the amount of stolen bases on the field. Personally, I’m very excited to see how the rules will impact the game and hopefully players will be able to get more hits and stolen bases, and the games will be shorter.
