Yesterday was a remarkable day in baseball history, 11 years ago, Trevor Hoffman threw his 600th career save and became the first pitcher to record over 600 saves. Trevor spent 18 years in the majors, playing for the Florida Marlins, San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers. In 2018, he was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame, recognizing his career as one of the all time closers in baseball. Trevor is one of the most idolized pitchers in baseball history for his selfless and passion for the game. Mariano Rivera who played for the New York Yankees, broke his record of 600 saves and became the all time saves leader. Trevor was my favorite player growing up, and I loved staying up late to watch him pitch during the 9th inning. My dad took me to his hall of fame induction ceremony in Cooperstown, New York which was the best day of my life.
