As the regular season comes to a close, intensity is rising throughout the National League while teams prepare for the post season. What an exciting time for baseball fans to watch their teams compete for a spot in the playoffs. The San Francisco Giants and the LA Dodgers have both clinched a spot in the playoffs. Around the League, there are three teams that are trying to secure a spot in the playoffs – the Saint Louis Cardinals, the San Diego Padres, and the Cincinnati Reds. The Cardinals are in the lead of the Wild Card winning 7 of their last ten games. The Padres are a half game out of the Wild Card winning 4 of their last ten games. Lastly, the Reds are one game behind the Cardinals winning three of their past ten games. Personally, I think the Padres will make a solid run and secure a spot in the playoffs. They have 13 games left to make it happen!
